GirlsDoPorn ‘actor’ who was in 71 videos, falsely assured victims, pleads guilty

The suit alleged that MindGeek tried to acquire Girls Do Porn’s video library in 2018, but backed out after its due diligence turned up more evidence of the company’s illegal practices. The plaintiffs said they endured harassment and ostracizing as the result of their videos being shared online, and all of them had suicidal thoughts as a result. It’s unknown when, exactly, Pratt fled the country, but lawyers for the numerous Jane Does allege that during the civil trial last year (2019), Pratt visited South America before he was scheduled to provide testimony.

Garcia, Pratt, and Wolfe were also charged with sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion. If found guilty, they face a maximum sentence of life in prison and a $250,000 fine. Prosecutors allege the website’s owners and operators lured victims with advertisements for clothed modeling gigs. In addition to granting rights to the videos, a federal judge ruled that GirlsDoPorn and GirlsDoToys must return them and that all of the fraudulent “model agreements” are void. The ruling is part of a restitution order against one of the leaders, performer Ruben Andre Garcia, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison earlier this year after pleading guilty to sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion.

Enright also called the operation a “fraudulent scheme” that targeted young women who “are mostly students with careers ahead of them who have only even considered Defendants’ solicitations to film a pornographic video due to some immediate and pressing financial need.” Now, after a years-long legal battle, a California judge on Thursday not only ordered Girls Do Porn to pay the 22 women $12.7 million in damages, but took a rare — and potentially game-changing — step of granting them ownership rights to the content. The website and its operators were also sued by 22 women featured in its videos, and a San Diego judge awarded the women nearly $13 million at the end of a civil trial. During that time, Pratt allegedly threatened and blackmailed her into filming more pornographic content for GirlsDoPorn. Pratt, Wolfe and two other men were present while allegedly forcing Althaus to record the pornographic film in a hotel room in San Diego.

Jane Doe 1 also gave evidence about the enormous impact online publication and subsequent WikiPorn leak had on her life.
